Lake Anne

Written by Marthe Rachel Gold

Directed by John Frank Levey

Playing @ The Road on Magnolia

“Cohesively written by Marthe Rachel Gold, MD and astutely directed by 4 time Emmy winner, John Frank Levey, LAKE ANNE gives us an opportunity to see closely into the lives of 5 people who are at major crossroads in their lives. While not always easy to watch, we get the sense that we are privy to the inner workings of people struggling to love and survive the changes in life’s seasons (subtly referenced with various views of the lake on a large upstage screen). There isn’t a weak link in the very able cast and Levey’s sense of storytelling is clearly evident. His decades in theatre and television, along with Gold’s acute sense of human behavior, leave us wondering what other collaborations they might have in store for us. GO ! “–Goldstar Patron Review
