Meet your Playwright:
Abbey Khan is currently based in Los Angeles. She is an entertainment reporter who has interviewed top celebrities including Anna Faris, Chris Pratt, and Morgan Freeman. As a playwright, it’s been a good year for her so far! Miss Khan’s plays were performed at the prestigious 36th Annual William Inge Festival; the Watermelon One-Act Play Festival, which was a recipient of an “Outstanding Performance” award; and she is very excited to see her play “Men and Women” at The Road Theatre Company’s Summer Playwrights Festival 8!
Meet your Director:
Jaymes Camery is a writer/director who has worked with Oscar-nominated filmmakers and actors. As a filmmaker, his films have played in film festivals throughout the United States. His first feature (Writer, Director, Co-Producer), Guys and Girls Can’t Be Friends, is currently available on numerous cable and digital outlets, as well as DVD. Jaymes earned his M.F.A. in Film Directing from California Institute of the Arts (CalArts) and he’s thrilled to be directing in the Road Theatre’s Summer Playwrights Festival.
