Now Playing: Smoke and Mirrors
Smoke and Mirrors is now playing at the Road on Lankershim:
5108 Lankershim Blvd
North Hollywood CA 91601
Named “Critic’s Choice” by the Los Angeles Times as “a superb theatrical magic show,” Smoke and Mirrors—a heartfelt comedy-drama with mind-bending magic—extends at The Road on Lankershim in the historic Lankershim Arts Center in North Hollywood.
As of March 3, 2013, Smoke and Mirrors is the “Critique of the Week” at Bitter Lemons.
The LA Weekly raves, If you’ve forgotten the childlike joy and sublime wonderment of seeing magic performed, Albie Selznick’s theatrical show is an enchanting reminder. The accomplished actor-magician puts on a bewildering tour de force that has more “how did he do that” flashes than can be counted! GO!
Backstage says, Smoke and Mirrors is about magic, wonder, and spectacle. You’ll leave feeling spellbound by Selznick’s display, scratching your head and thinking, “How did he do that?”
Created by and starring noted actor Albie Selznick (Grey’s Anatomy, Desperate Housewives, Dexter, etc.) and Magician (a lifetime member of Hollywood’s Magic Castle), Smoke and Mirrors is a semi-autobiographical fantastical coming-of-age story about a boy who uses magic to escape reality and face the world after the death of his father.
