The Runway Lounge by Elisabeth Gordon

Two Couples, One from England, the other from the United States meet in a lounge at the edge of the runway at a Heathrow airport hotel. Though they are from different worlds, they find they have more in common then they might have imagined. Over drinks and jet fuel , each begins to appreciate the others perspective.

Meet your Playwright:

Elisabeth W. Gordon is a Virginia native who divides her time between Norwich, Vermont and Boston, Massachusetts. She began pursuing creative writing over ten years ago and has published several short stories in literary magazines. In 2009, she received the Chaffin Journal Award for Best Fiction. She was inspired to try her hand at playwriting after meeting her husband, actor Gordon Clapp, and his theater-oriented friends. The Runway Lounge is the second of her ten-minute plays to be produced. It was included in the New Works Festival at Northern Stage in White River Junction, Vermont in 2017. Gordon is the proud mother of two children, Catherine and Connor.
